How to use this tool
What is JSONL?
JSON Lines stores a complete JSON value on each line. For example, {"id":1} followed by a newline and {"id":2} represents two records. Newlines inside a JSON string must be escaped.
Open and convert JSON Lines
Paste multiple JSON lines or open a .jsonl file. This tool ignores blank lines. When each non-empty line parses, the preview reports JSONL; Format converts those values to a formatted JSON array. Compact produces a compact JSON array.
Know the boundaries
A single valid JSON value is detected as JSON. The editor loads the whole file into memory; it is not a streaming processor for multi-gigabyte logs. Export produces JSON, not JSONL.
Input and output example
Paste these two lines and choose Format to convert JSONL into a JSON array.
Output
[
{ "id": 1 },
{ "id": 2 }
]
